Eva Doelker-Heim creates an astonishing variety of fascinating color pigments from earths, local rocks, and plants collected on site and during her travels. Using self-developed techniques and processing methods, she applies them to canvas, paper, wooden objects, and often also found objects from the roadside.
This is how landscapes in a broader sense emerge, in which the artist explores the elemental forces of nature and grants them their own role in shaping form. The specific geological findings, climatic conditions, and the direct impact of rain, snowfall, or fire on the surfaces of her works define the framework within which Eva Doelker-Heim investigates the secrets of the natural landscape surrounding us.
