DOELKER HEIM
Hills/valleys
The starting point for every object is a taut and stretched canvas. What becomes visible is the imprint of a force relationship between material, volume, and tension. The canvas retains this tension and translates it into an organically appearing form. These are forms that have come into being—not made.
The individual elements, with their surfaces reminiscent of gentle hills and valleys, create a spatial topography: a silent, white landscape that not only occupies the space but also restructures it. 2018–2026. Dimensions from approx. 20 x 20 x 12 cm to 160 x 70 x 30 cm. Materials: wood, ceramic, cotton, Gerso.
